We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Import Officer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Procurement & Supply Chain Reports To: Supply Chain / Procurement Manager
Key Responsibilities
Import Operations: Manage the entire import cycle from purchase orders to final delivery, resolving logistics delays proactively.
Compliance & Documentation: Prepare and manage trade documents (PAAR, SONCAP, Bills of Lading, Form M, Customs Clearance, Permits*).
Customs & Regulatory Liaison: Coordinate with customs agents, shipping lines, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth cargo clearance.
Cost Control: Monitor duties, taxes, demurrage, and freight charges to minimize costs and optimize lead times.
Vendor & Inventory Management: Partner with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams for timely material receipt.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: B.Sc / HND in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
Experience: 3–5 years handling import documentation, customs clearance, and logistics in Nigeria (Manufacturing, FMCG, or Commodities experience preferred).
Skills: Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs duty calculations, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
