We are looking for a Human Resources Offcer.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the organisation’s procurement activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient acquisition of goods and services. With 5–10 years of relevant experience, the successful candidate will lead supplier identification and evaluation, competitive sourcing, tender processes, price negotiations, contract management, and purchase order administration. The role requires working closely with internal departments to identify procurement needs, develop purchasing plans, manage budgets, monitor inventory requirements, and ensure that all purchases meet established quality standards and operational requirements. The incumbent will also conduct market research, assess supplier performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and establish strategic supplier relationships that promote value for money and supply chain efficiency.
The Procurement Specialist will ensure compliance with organisational procurement policies, ethical standards, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring supplier delivery schedules, resolving procurement and supply chain challenges, maintaining accurate procurement documentation, preparing procurement reports, and advising management on purchasing trends, supplier risks, and cost optimisation strategies. The candidate will be expected to apply sound commercial judgement, strong negotiation skills, and analytical expertise to improve procurement processes and minimise operational risks. A relevant degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Supply, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required, together with 5–10 years of proven experience in procurement operations, supplier management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management and experience with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
