To lead the health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) function, protecting patients, staff, visitors and the environment through effective HSSE systems, risk management and compliance.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the HSSE management system across the hospital.
Conduct and oversee risk assessments, inspections and audits.
Develop and implement HSSE policies, procedures and training.
Lead incident prevention, investigation and reporting.
Coordinate emergency preparedness, security and environmental management.
Ensure compliance with applicable HSSE regulations and standards.
Supervise and develop HSSE staff.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or HND in a relevant discipline (e.g. environmental/health sciences, safety, engineering or sciences).
Completion of NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable.
Substantial experience in HSSE, including a senior or supervisory element.
Experience in risk assessment, incident management and HSSE systems.
Experience in a healthcare, industrial or institutional HSSE environment.
Required skills:
Strong knowledge of HSSE management, risk and compliance.
Ability to lead HSSE systems, audits and training.
Incident investigation and emergency-preparedness skills.
