Description
We are seeking a responsible and proactive HSE Officer to support the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental standards across our solar projects.
This role involves identifying and controlling workplace hazards, ensuring compliance with HSE procedures and regulations.
The HSE Officer will provide close safety supervision of work- at- height, installation, maintenance and other site activities.
Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing HSE standards across solar installation and maintenance activities.
Ensure strict compliance with PPE requirements and promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.
Conduct and review risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
Ensure the effective implementation and use of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for all applicable activities.
Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings to communicate hazards, controls, and safe work practices.
Carry out routine site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non compliance, and ensure timely corrective actions.
Ensure scaffolding, ladders, and other access equipment are properly inspected, maintained, and used safely.
Manage incident, accident, near-miss, and hazard reporting, including investigation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and applicable environmental standards.
Ensure unsafe acts and conditions are promptly identified, reported, and corrected.
Monitor environmental compliance and promote responsible waste management and pollution prevention practices.
Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Paras HSE procedures, applicable legislation, industry standards, and other relevant safety requirements.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
HSE Level 1-3 certification is required
Willingness to travel and work across different project locations.
