Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced HSE Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental activities across onshore/offshore fabrication and installation works, ensuring compliance with applicable HSE standards, regulations, and project requirements.
Job Summary
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, plans, and site requirements.
Conduct risk assessments, JHA/JSA, toolbox talks, site inspections, and safety audits.
Monitor compliance with safe work practices, permit-to-work systems, and emergency procedures.
Investigate and report incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and environmental issues.
Promote HSE awareness and provide safety inductions, training, and toolbox meetings.
Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, statistics, and compliance documentation.
Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competencies
B.Sc in Environmental Science or any relevant degree.
Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals (NISP) is required.
NEBOSH, ISP, and IOSH certifications are required.
Minimum 8 years experience in onshore/offshore fabrication and installation of piping and structural steelwork.
Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
Strong communication, leadership, safety awareness, reporting, and site inspection skills.
