The HR Business Lead works directly with the Chief People Officer on strategic, board-level, and governance work, while also owning the administrative and reporting backbone of the office. This is a high-visibility role combining executive support, strategic communications, HR reporting, and hands-on project coordination. The person will use AI tools to automate routine work wherever possible, freeing time for higher-value strategic contributions.
- Own the Chief People Officer's (CPO) calendar and travel, including expense submission, using scheduling tools to reduce manual work.
- Handle approvals on behalf of the CPO, including timesheets, Workday, and Business World approvals, and act as point of contact for signing authority matters.
- Research and turn verbal direction or short briefs into board-ready decks, memos, and analyses, using AI to draft and then refining for final quality.
- Coordinate board and governance materials, pulling input from HR, Legal, and any relevant stakeholders, tracking versions, and meeting deadlines , etc.
- Own HR Leadership Team meetings: scheduling, agendas, minutes, and tracking action items between meetings.
- Provide insights from the recurring HR metrics report for HR Leadership Team, covering headcount, turnover, time to fill, engagement, and compensation ratios. Build ad hoc reports where relevant.
- Maintain a live dashboard tracking major HR initiatives/priorities, including status and where CPO decisions are needed, so status does not have to be reconstructed in meetings. Build and own HR rhythm of business tracker.
- Run the CPO's decision and delegation tracking system: capture decisions taken and actions delegated, each with a clear owner, deadline and expected outcome; drive disciplined follow-up, flag slippage early and escalate risks so that commitments are delivered on time and in full.
- Own HR communications, including full ownership of the HR newsletter. Content is coordinated with HR Directors and teams, but the final product, editing, and sending is owned by this role.
- Design and run quarterly HR Leadership Team retreats, including content, logistics, facilitation support, and follow-up tracking.
- Maintain a searchable archive of decisions, templates, and past work.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, consulting, executive support, or corporate strategy.
- Experience supporting senior executives directly preferrable.
- Strong English language fluency required.
- Working knowledge of Workday, Business World, and standard HR metrics.
- Strong written communication, able to produce executive-level material with minimal editing.
- Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Proven ability to be highly resourceful and reliable.
- Practical experience using AI tools to save time on repetitive work.
- Discretion and sound judgment with confidential information.
- Must have legal authorization to work in one of the country locations noted.
