  • Reconcile daily revenue generated from rooms, the restaurant, bar, and other service centers.
  • Verify sales records against Point of Sale (POS) systems, cash collections, and bank transfers.
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal hotel records and investigate any discrepancies or leakages.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Monitor and manage outstanding corporate and guest accounts to ensure timely collection.

  • Cost Control & Inventory Monitoring:
  • Work closely with the purchasing and store departments to monitor inventory consumption (food, beverage, and operational supplies).
  • Verify purchase invoices against approved requisitions and actual deliveries to prevent financial loss.
  • Assist management in identifying areas of unnecessary expenditure and enforcing strict cost-control measures.

Payroll & Petty Cash Management:

  • Prepare and verify staff payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, deductions, and allowances.
  • Manage and disburse petty cash, maintaining strict controls and documentation for operational payments.

Tax & Statutory Compliance:

  • Ensure the hotel complies with all local tax regulations (e.g., VAT, PAYE) and statutory deductions.
  • Assist in preparing financial records for internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of proven experience working as an Accountant (experience in the hospitality or hotel industry is a strong advantage).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Must reside within or in close proximity to the Berger Ojodu / Ikeja axis.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial information.
