Key Responsibilities

As a House Parent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day well-being of students in your boarding house, including:
Creating a warm, supportive, and structured environment that promotes students' emotional, social, and academic development
Building strong relationships with students, acting as a mentor and role model
Overseeing daily routines, including wake-up, meals, prep time, and bedtime. Ensuring the health and safety of students, including administering basic first aid and liaising with medical staff when needed
Communicating regularly with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student welfare.
Maintaining cleanliness and order in the boarding house and reporting maintenance issues.
Organising and supervising recreational activities, outings, and weekend programs.
Upholding school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred)
Prior experience working with adolescents in a residential, educational, or youth support setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations with sensitivity
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
Basic IT skills and the ability to keep accurate records
