Role Description
The Hospital Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the tone for every experience at Daniel Adewole Awe Medical Center.
Day to day responsibilities include welcoming and directing patients, registering new and returning patients, managing appointments and enquiries, maintaining accurate patient records, and coordinating patient flow between reception, consulting rooms, and other departments.
The Front Desk Officer will answer calls, handle patient concerns with courtesy and discretion, and support billing and payment processes as required.
The role calls for professionalism, patience, and a genuine commitment to making patients feel respected and at ease.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ilesa.
Qualifications
OND, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Health Records, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service role, preferably in a hospital or clinic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Yoruba is an advantage.
Polished, courteous, and professional presence, with the ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort with hospital management or records software.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
Commitment to patient confidentiality, integrity, and professional conduct.
Ability to multitask and manage a busy, fast-moving reception environment.
