Role Description

The Home Caregiver will provide compassionate, professional in-home support to older adults, focusing on their safety, comfort, and dignity. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care (such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting), supporting mobility and fall prevention, and helping with light household tasks relevant to patient care. The role involves monitoring clients' wellbeing, following care plans, offering companionship, and coordinating with physiotherapists and dietitians as needed. The caregiver may assist with medication reminders in line with company protocols and maintain clear records of daily activities and observations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja, requiring travel to clients' homes within the area and availability for scheduled shifts, including potential 24-hour rotations.

Qualifications

Demonstrated caregiving and elder care experience, preferably in home-based or geriatric settings.
Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and clear communication with clients and families.
Practical home care and personal care skills, including safe mobility assistance and support with activities of daily living.
Ability to follow care plans, observe changes in clients' conditions, and report concerns promptly.
Basic knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety practices in a home-care environment.
Reliability, professional conduct, and capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum of a relevant caregiving certificate, community health training, or equivalent experience; formal geriatric care training is an advantage
