Health, Safety & Environment (hse) Supervisor - Golden Penny Foods At Flour Mills Of Nigeria Plc

Purpose

• The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Supervisor will support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental standards across the facility.
• The role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements, and preventing workplace accidents and injuries.

The Job

• Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe working conditions.
• Promote safety awareness through training, education, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage first aid facilities and ensure prompt response to workplace injuries and incidents.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, while driving corrective actions.
• Support the development, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in safety audits, safety observations, and workplace risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and documentation.
• Drive compliance with HSE regulations, corporate safety policies, FSSC requirements, HACCP, EIA, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 5 O' level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
• OND qualification in a related field. in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience in Health, Safety & Environment management.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

• Have a strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental management principles.
• Demonstrate excellent hazard identification and risk assessment skills.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors.
