Key Responsibilities
Oversee inventory management and stock control across all branches and warehouses.
Develop and implement effective inventory control policies, procedures, and systems.
Monitor stock movements, stock levels, replenishment, and inventory accuracy.
Coordinate periodic stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits.
Investigate stock discrepancies, shrinkage, damages, expiries, and unexplained losses.
Analyse inventory data and provide actionable reports to Management.
Ensure proper inventory documentation and compliance with established procedures.
Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Audit, Warehouse, and Branch Operations teams.
Identify opportunities to optimize stockholding costs and improve inventory turnover.
Supervise and evaluate inventory personnel across the organisation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in inventory management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Must have substantial inventory management experience in a reputable retail organisation, supermarket chain, or FMCG retail environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, ERP software, and stock reconciliation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory data analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Proven experience managing inventory across multiple branches or locations.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
