Remuneration: R1 885 710.00 per annum (all-inclusive package). In addition, a 10% Allowance is payable as Head of Department - (Salary level 15)

REQUIREMENTS

• An appropriate postgraduate qualification (NQF level 8), as recognized by SAQA. 10 years' experience at a senior management level.

DUTIES

• As an Accounting Officer for the Provincial Treasury, the incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions: Establish and oversee the provision of sound financial management practices in relation to credible budget processes, financial reporting, financial governance, liabilities control and accounting services, (PFMA).
• Establish and oversee the implementation of sound financial management practices (in relation to credible budget processes, financial reporting, financial governance, liabilities control and accounting services MFMA). Develop and oversee the implementation of viable and sound Supply Chain Management, Asset and Liabilities Management.
• Establish and oversee the provision of credible, effective financial governance and support services to provincial departments, public entities and Municipalities (PFMA, MFMA). Oversee the institutionalising and implementation of effective corporate management and administration services. Oversee the management of departmental sound financial management services.
• Oversee the implementation and provision of Internal Audit services. Oversee the implementation of risk, ethics and integrity management services. Oversee the provision of administrative support services.
