Role Description

The Head of Business Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. This position is responsible for leading business growth initiatives, including identifying new markets, building strategic partnerships, and expanding key accounts.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing business plans, overseeing sales activities, managing client relationships, and coordinating with product and technical teams to align solutions with customer needs.

The role involves analyzing market trends, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and tracking performance against revenue and growth targets. The Head of Business Development will also mentor and guide the business development team, ensuring consistent execution of strategy and achievement of business objectives.

• Candidates should possess strong Business Development and Sales skills, with a proven record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
• Candidates should possess solid Business Planning and Analytical Skills to design strategies, interpret data, and make informed decisions.
• Candidates should possess Account Management skills and experience maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Candidates should possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience in software development, ERP, or technology solutions sales is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and collaborating across departments.
• Ability to work on-site in Nairobi County, Kenya, and travel as required for client and partner meetings.
