Job Summary
We are looking for a commercially driven leader to grow our business.
You will find and win new projects, lead our tendering process, manage key client relationships, and make sure our contracts support profitable, long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and drive the company’s business development strategy across civil engineering, construction, logistics and maintenance
Identify and pursue new project opportunities in the public and private sectors, and build a strong client pipeline
Lead the full tender process, from bid/no-bid decisions through pricing and submission to follow-up
Prepare company profiles, capability statements and prequalification documents
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers, and secure repeat business
Review contract terms and commercial risks on awarded projects, and oversee payment applications and variation claims
Monitor the market, competitors and government infrastructure spending to guide strategy
Lead the Business Development and Bid/Tender team, set targets, and report monthly to the MD.
Requirements
B.Sc / B.Eng in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, commercial or tender management, with at least [5] years in a leadership role
Proven track record of winning contracts in the construction and/or oil and gas sector
Strong experience with tenders, prequalification, bid pricing and BOQ review
Good understanding of construction contracts, payment applications and variation claims
Established network with oil and gas operators, government agencies or major private clients
Strong negotiation, presentation and leadership skills.
