Job Summary
The role holder will be responsible for directing, coordinating and growing the Corporate Business portfolio, by identifying and converting new business opportunities, enhancing customer retention, strengthening intermediary relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring good practice is followed, costs are controlled and revenue generation is maximized.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales, distribution and business development strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, growth plans and budgeted targets, and regularly review their effectiveness.
Drive new business acquisition, customer retention and portfolio growth through brokers, intermediaries and direct channels, while identifying opportunities for cross-selling, repeat business and leveraging Group synergies.
Lead, manage and coach the corporate sales team by setting targets, monitoring performance, developing staff capability and ensuring optimal productivity, sales achievement and staff retention.
Develop, implement and continuously improve sales processes, policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, sales effectiveness and compliance with company requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, brokers, intermediaries, competitors and other key stakeholders to strengthen the company's market position and corporate image.
Manage and monitor the sales pipeline, business leads and market opportunities, using market research, customer insights and business intelligence to identify growth opportunities and drive conversion of leads into sales.
Take ownership of the corporate business's performance and profitability by monitoring revenue, productivity, retention, costs and performance against approved targets and budgets.
Lead the annual sales budgeting and planning process, ensuring that sales initiatives, resource allocation and business development activities support sustainable business growth.
Prepare and provide timely, accurate and informative reports and business insights to Senior Management, advising on key business development issues and opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Marketing or other business-related discipline.
Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK).
Member of CII or IIK.
Experience
10 years' experience in the insurance industry, 5 of which should be in senior management.
