Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and cofacilitate all Innovation Caf workshop cycles in country, including participant mobilisation, venue and logistics coordination, learning materials preparation, and delivery of eight Innovation Caf cycles.
Conduct structured participant followup between workshops through calls, virtual coaching sessions, and field visits, supporting idea refinement, validating progress, and identifying highpotential innovation teams for progression into the incubator programme.
Facilitate and support incubator programme cohorts, providing coaching on prototype design, MVP development, testing, and validation, while supporting teams to achieve milestones across four to five cohorts.
Work closely with the Innovation Lead to implement curriculum enhancements, facilitation improvements, quality assurance recommendations, and updated delivery methodologies.
Coordinate incountry outreach, participant recruitment, application review, and selection processes for Innovation Cafs and incubator programmes.
Monitor and document participant progress, capturing programme data, evidence, and outcomes in line with Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning frameworks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local cofacilitators, technical experts, innovation hubs, coworking spaces, and ecosystem partners.
Work with the Grant Coordinator to monitor innovation grant milestones, ensuring documentation, compliance, and progress are accurately captured.
Support the Programme Lead in planning and delivering wider programme activities.
Capture participant stories, lessons, and field insights to contribute to programme learning and continuous improvement.Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Design, Engineering, Development Studies, or related discipline.
4–7 years’ experience in entrepreneurship support, startup incubation, innovation programme delivery, or (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});product development coaching.
Experience facilitating participatory workshops, innovation programmes, or entrepreneurship training for diverse youth and earlystage entrepreneurs.
Strong practical understanding of humancentred design, ideation processes, lean startup methodologies, and MVP development.
Proven ability to coach and mentor entrepreneurs through implementation.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
Familiarity with the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Kenya, including hubs, experts, and startup communities.
Experience collecting participant performance information and contributing to monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
