Role Description The GM Products & Software Engineering is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Lagos, responsible for driving the strategy, development, and performance of the company’s product and software engineering portfolio. This role oversees product roadmaps, software development lifecycle, and go-to-market initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cross-functional product and engineering teams, prioritizing features, managing resource allocation, and monitoring quality, timelines, and budget. The GM collaborates closely with sales, marketing, and business leadership to define value propositions, support key deals, and ensure products are commercially viable and scalable. The role also involves establishing technical standards, fostering innovation, mentoring team members, and implementing metrics to continuously improve product performance and engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Business Planning and Analytical Skills to define strategy, interpret market data, and guide decision-making.
- Proven Product Management and Product Development experience in technology or software-driven organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to support Sales through product positioning, customer engagement, and collaboration on go-to-market activities.
- Extensive experience leading software engineering teams and managing end-to-end product lifecycles.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Lagos and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with cloud solutions, enterprise IT environments, and agile methodologies is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
