Role Purpose

The Geoscientist integrates geological and geophysical information to support exploration, appraisal, field development and reservoir characterization, providing technically robust subsurface interpretations that improve opportunity maturation, well planning and asset value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate geological, geophysical, petrophysical and well information to develop coherent subsurface interpretations.
  • Prepare structural, stratigraphic and reservoir maps and support geological framework development.
  • Participate in prospect identification, maturation, risking and volumetric assessment.
  • Support appraisal and development studies, well prognosis preparation and post-well evaluation.
  • Contribute to static model development and reservoir characterization in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Evaluate subsurface uncertainty and risk and clearly communicate implications for business decisions.
  • Support reserves and resources evaluation, Field Development Plans and annual technical work programmes.
  • Participate in technical reviews, peer assists and assurance processes.
  • Maintain high-quality subsurface databases, interpretation projects, maps and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with Reservoir Engineering, Petrophysics, Wells, Production and Projects teams to optimize subsurface decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Master's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8-12 years' relevant upstream E&P geoscience experience.
  • Relevant professional geoscience membership is desirable.
