Gauge Specialist (bhp&t / Memory Gauges)

Purpose

• Gather accurate bottom-hole pressure and temperature data and reservoir fluid samples for reservoir and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Program, calibrate, and make up memory gauges for static, flowing-gradient, and build-up surveys.
• Plan survey stops and run the gauges on slickline.
• Download, validate and process gauge data, and calculate gradients and TVD-corrected pressures.
• Carry out bottom-hole sampling of reservoir fluids and keep chain of custody.
• Deliver BHP&T summary reports and data files on time.
• Maintain gauges, batteries, and calibration records.

Requirements

• Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in gauge or BHP survey operations.
• Certifications: the standard offshore set; gauge manufacturer training is an advantage.
• Skills: memory gauge software (e.g., PPS, Spartek, DataCan), data quality control, Microsoft Excel.
