Maintain accurate and compliant Navy food service accounting records in both manual and automated formats.
Utilize the latest version of the Food Service Management (FSM) system to prepare and manage records according to Navy Food Service standards.
Prepare and submit reports, financial records, and returns in compliance with Navy protocols and timelines.
Review and reconcile records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable DoD and Navy guidelines.
Ensure all records conform to the latest Navy food service directives and policies.
Support compliance audits by ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Prepare financial summaries, reports, and returns as required by Navy food service operations.
Apply knowledge of training completed at the Navy Records and Returns School to manage and prepare food service records.
Collaborate with other food service personnel, leadership, and auditors to ensure shared understanding of record-keeping policies and procedures.
Support other personnel in understanding and adhering to proper accounting record management practices.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Navy food service records management.
Proficiency in the latest version of the Food Service Management (FSM) software platform, alongside the capability to handle older manual paper logs if the software goes offline.
Training certificate/attendance from the latest Records and Returns School.
Explicit training certificate/attendance from the Navy's technical school that teaches how to close out monthly food service financial balances ("Records and Returns").
Familiarity with Navy accountability systems, food service directives, and Navy regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple accounting tasks.
Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of accounting records and compliance with Navy standards.
Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce.
Valid country driver's license.
Advanced knowledge of DoD and Navy food service accounting policies and procedures.
Experience preparing financial summaries, reports, and reconciliation for Navy food service operations.
Familiarity with Navy auditing processes and ability to facilitate audits effectively.
