Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) was established by the Kenya Government under Legal Notice No. 103 of 18th July 2008 as a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. The idea of establishing a University goes back many years to the time when Njuri Ncheke (Council of elders of Meru people) conceived an i Clinical Officer III – 3 Posts Qualification Have a Diploma in clinical medicine or equivalent from a recognized Institution Proficiency in Computer Applications and experience with Hospital Management Systems Have a minimum of (1) year working experience in a busy health facility. Experience working in a tertiary learning institution is an added advantage Be registered by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya. Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Nursing Officer III – 4 Posts Qualification Have a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent from a recognized Institution Proficiency in Computer Applications and experience with Hospital Management Systems Have a minimum of (1) year working experience in a busy health facility. Experience working in a tertiary learning institution is an added advantage Have a valid license from Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) Be a member of Nursing association in Kenya (NNAK/KEPNA) Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Have a valid BLS/ACLS certificate Medical Laboratory Technologist III Qualification Have a diploma in Medical Laboratory from a recognized institution Proficiency in Computer Applications and experience with Hospital Management Systems Have a minimum of (1) year working experience in a busy health facility. Experience working in a tertiary learning institution is an added advantage Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Be registered by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board Medical Laboratory Technologist II Qualification Have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory from a recognized institution Proficiency in Computer Applications and experience with Hospital Management Systems Have a minimum of (1) year working experience in a busy health facility. Experience working in a tertiary learning institution is an added advantage Strict knowledge of biosafety, infection prevention and control protocols, and clinical standards Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Be registered by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board Pharmaceutical Technologist III Qualification Have a diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution Proficiency in Computer Applications and experience with Hospital Management Systems Have a minimum of (1) year working experience in a busy health facility. Experience working in a tertiary learning institution is an added advantage Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. Be registered by the Pharmacies and Poisons Board ICT Officer I (Software Developer) Qualification A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Software Engineering High level expertise in, and detailed understanding of, a number of different functional areas across the institution. Knowledge in computer hardware and networks Three 3 Years’ experience as a software developer in an organization comparable to an institution of higher learning. Experience in Navision 2018 or Dynamics 365 BC. Experience in Cross platform development languages such as PHP, Python, C#, JavaScript etc. Experience in integrations (RESTful, OData, JSON and SOAP API Services) Experience in Windows Server configurations and management Experience in design and development of relational database queries in SQL or MySQL. Microsoft Certification in Navision or Dynamics 365 BC. Be registered with the relevant professional body Fulfil the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010. ICT Officer I (Database Administrator) Qualification A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Software Engineering Strong knowledge of data backup strategies and restoration techniques in relational databases. Three (3) as Database Administrator in an organization comparable to an institution of higher learning. Experience in configuration and management of active directory services. High level expertise in, and detailed understanding of, a number of different functional areas across the institution. Two (2) years’ experience as an ICT Technician. Experience in any help-desk platform. Experience in management of centralized printing solution(s) Experience in Audio-vision equipment setup. Certification in Cyber Security and Data Protection. Certification in Emerging technologies and AI EXPERIENCE Certification in Data Management and Governance. Experience in Management of Radius server. Experience in Network Management and monitoring tools. Experience in Navision 2018 or Dynamics 365 BC. Experience in integrations (RESTful, OData, JSON and SOAP API Services) Experience in Windows Server configurations and management Experience in design and development of relational database queries in SQL or MySQL. Driver II – 2 Posts Qualification Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent qualification with six (6) years driving experience or Nine (9) years’ driving experience in a public or private sector CERTIFICATE OF INTENSIVE DEFENSIVE DRIVING Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya police Emergency Vehicle Operator Certificate(EVOC)- Having an EMT certificate is and added advantage.
