We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Finance Operations Officer
Job Location: Wuse Zone 1, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
- The Finance Operations Officer supports the day-to-day financial and operational processes of the firm, ensuring client transactions, fund accounting, reconciliations and regulatory reporting are accurate, timely and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction and settlement processing:
- Process and verify subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and switches for client and fund portfolios
- Coordinate trade settlement with custodians, registrars, brokers and banks
- Follow up on failed or delayed settlements until resolved
Reconciliation and accounting:
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank, custodian, and portfolio records
- Investigate and clear breaks and variances promptly
- Support preparation of fund valuations and NAV (Net Asset Value) computation
- Post journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
Fees, payments and treasury support:
- Calculate and invoice management and performance fees
- Prepare payment vouchers and process approved vendor, tax and staff payments
- Monitor cash positions and support liquidity planning
Reporting and compliance:
- Prepare periodic client statements, management reports and portfolio performance data
- Support regulatory filings (e.g. SEC, PenCom where applicable, FIRS) and audit requests
- Ensure operations adhere to internal controls, KYC/AML requirements and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain operational procedures and documentation
- Flag control weaknesses and recommend efficiency improvements
- Liaise with the investment, compliance and client service teams
