A well-established organisation operating across multiple sites is looking for a hands-on Finance Operations Accountant to connect head-office finance with day-to-day site operations. This role goes beyond traditional accounting. You'll work directly with operational teams, review budgets and stock performance, identify inefficiencies and help implement improvements through automation and AI-enabled solutions. Key Responsibilities Visit operational sites to understand financial performance and day-to-day business challenges Bridge the gap between head office and site teams to improve communication and financial visibility Support budgeting, forecasting and operational financial analysis Analyse site performance, costs, stock movements and variances Identify discrepancies and work with operational teams to resolve them Monitor financial and operational controls across sites Provide practical financial insights to support business decisions Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and operational efficiency Apply AI tools and automation to streamline finance processes Track implementation of agreed improvements and follow up with stakeholders Support consistent financial procedures and reporting across the business Job Experience and Skills Required Qualification: BCom in Accounting, Finance or a related field Experience: Approximately three years' relevant experience Commercial finance experience preferred; candidates with articles will also be considered Understanding of budgeting, financial analysis and stock management Experience engaging with operational teams or multiple sites advantageous Practical experience with AI tools and/or automation required Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills Financial reporting and budgeting capabilities Good understanding of operational finance and stock controls Ability to identify process gaps and recommend practical solutions The Ideal Candidate Assertive and confident when engaging with stakeholders Commercially minded and solutions-oriented Hands-on, proactive and comfortable visiting operational sites Able to challenge constructively and follow through on action items Adaptable, analytical and interested in technology Comfortable translating financial data into practical business improvements Why Consider This Opportunity?
