The Finance Manager - MFB (Microfinance Bank) is a full-time, on-site role based in Ikorodu. This role is responsible for managing the financial operations of the microfinance bank, including budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager will oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, monitor key performance indicators, and support strategic decision-making through financial analysis. The role includes coordinating with internal teams, auditors, and regulators, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions. The Finance Manager will also contribute to risk management, internal controls, and the development of policies that support sustainable growth.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of microfinance banking operations, financial management, and regulatory frameworks applicable to MFBs.
Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
Experience with accounting software and MS Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance procedures.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an advantage.
Prior experience in microfinance, retail banking, or financial services, preferably in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Ability to work on-site in Ikorodu and adapt to a dynamic, mission-driven environment focused on financial inclusion.
