Job Summary:

Reporting to the Finance Officer, s/he will be responsible for assisting the mandate of FAWE Kenya in fulfilling the financial requirements by assisting in preparation of donor reports and other internal financial reporting, financial records, processing transactions; including preparation of payments, doing postings in the financial system, preparation of reconciliations, Short term expenditure scheduling, preparing timely remittance of staff and statutory payments, audit and audit support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or a related field, from a recognized institution of higher learning is a must
  • A CPA Part 2
  • A minimum of 2 year of working experience with progressive responsibility in a busy finance set up.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (issued within the last 6 months).
  • Proficient user of advanced Excel is a must and Knowledge, and practical use of QuickBooks.
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-confidence/ independence, positive attitude and team spirit.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving, highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, very flexible, adoptive and ability to work under no/minimal supervision.
