Field Service Technicians - MiningAreas: Rustenburg, North WestSalary: Market RelatedEmployment Type: PermanentPurpose of the positions: The role is responsible for minimising TMM equipment downtime, optimising machine performance, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring compliance with OEM specifications, mine safety standards, and operational procedures while providing technical support to clients on site.
Duties And Responsibilities
Do Planned & help with Maintenance on TMM's in a manner that promotes reliability with total cost saving to the Client
This includes all OEM electrical work up to the Junction Box at the Mines Mini-Sub
Ensure proper wiring, connection, and configuration of electrical components
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and implement timely repairs
Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues
Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and relevant departments to resolve complex electrical issues
Arrange / request all spares required in a pro-active manner
Inspection on the Machines and Sign-off
Follow & adhere to all Mine Rules & Procedures
Help to identify Training needs of people on Site and communicate with Foreman
Qualifications And Experience
Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate
Must have completed an Auto Electrical or Millwright Apprenticeship, and be in possession of a recognized appropriate Trade
Must have at least 3 years' experience as an Auto Electrician/Millwright in an underground mechanized mining environment
Must have at least 3 years' experience in the maintenance of TMM LHDs, Dump Trucks, Drill rigs and
years' experience as an Auto Electrician/Millwright
Must be in possession of a valid Certificate of Fitness (Red Ticket)
Valid Code 08 Drivers License
Desired Skills:
Auto Electrical or Millwright Apprenticeship
Maintain accurate records of all installations

2 to 5 years
