POSITION PURPOSEWe are looking for a hands-on Field Service Technician with at least 2 years’ electrical/mechanical experience to install, service, maintain and repair electronic and electro-mechanical equipment. The successful candidate must have strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, be customer-focused and professional, and be willing to travel extensively, work overtime and provide after-hours support when required.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, service and maintain equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose and repair equipment faults efficiently.
Install equipment and train customers/operators.
Provide on-site technical support across the Northern provinces and neighbouring countries.
Provide telephone, email and remote technical support to customers.
Respond promptly to customer queries and technical issues.
Assist with equipment demonstrations and technical development.
Support the sales team and identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships.
Help customers maximise the value and performance of their equipment.
Provide after-hours standby and on-site support when required.
Maintain professional customer relationships and represent the company positively.
Complete required administration and technical documentation.
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ electrical/mechanical experience.
Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
Own reliable transport.
Willing and able to travel locally and internationally.
Willing to work overtime and after hours when required.
