Field Sales Representative

• We are recruiting a driven and results-oriented Field Sales Representative to develop new business, grow sales and manage key retail accounts across the Western Cape.
• The successful candidate must have proven B2B retail sales and account-management experience, strong commercial awareness and the confidence to engage with retail buyers and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify new business opportunities.
• Prospect and develop new retail customers.
• Conduct regular client visits.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and KPIs.
• Prepare sales presentations and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and trading terms.
• Drive product launches and secure retail listings.
• Support product placement and in-store visibility.
• Prepare and follow up customer orders.

Account Management

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Manage key accounts.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Monitor product performance and customer buying trends.
• Track competitor activity.
• Improve customer retention and account growth.
• Sales Reporting & Administration
• Prepare daily sales activity reports.
• Maintain sales forecasts and pipeline information.
• Track performance against targets.
• Gather market intelligence and customer feedback.
• Liaise with Procurement, Operations and Customer Service.
• Support promotions and product launches.
• Follow up outstanding orders and sales opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 - 3 years' relevant sales experience.
• B2B sales and account-management experience within the retail industry - essential.
• Experience dealing with retail buyers and key accounts.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• New business development experience.
• Retail promotions and merchandising exposure advantageous.
• Good administration and reporting ability.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Sales or Business qualification advantageous.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport - non-negotiable.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Western Cape.
