The ideal candidate would be responsible for:
- Management of Farm Services teams and planning and controlling of Live Bird operations.
- Managing all labour related issues such as discipline, recruitment, training, time and attendance.
- Maximize production and ensure that work quality is at required standards.
- Managing projects and planning of work schedules.
- Reporting and budget control.
- Managing Risk Control, Occupational Health and Safety, Bio-Security requirements and Standards as per relevant legislation and Astral Standard Operating Practices.
- Responsible for company assets.
- Implementation and maintaining the 20 Keys system.
- Procurement of bedding material for poultry farms.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification.
- A minimum of 5 (five) years' management experience in the agricultural sector and a logistics background will be an added advantage.
- Technical/Mechanical background advantageous.
- Must be a team player with exceptional leadership skills with the ability to work in a high pressurized environment and be deadline driven.
- Ability to manage staff effectively and must be Computer literate.
- The candidate must have high standards towards housekeeping and attention to detail.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
