The ideal candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel and petrol generators, as well as building construction machinery and equipment.
Candidates should demonstrate proven technician experience with major companies in Nigeria, with strong practical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
Responsibilties
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of diesel and petrol generators, concrete mixers, batching plant, and other construction equipment.
Conduct repairs, replacements, or adjustments on faulty or malfunctioning equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from project managers, and site managers and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and completed work orders across the sites.
Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and guidelines in all maintenance activities.
Collaborate with contractors and vendors to schedule and supervise repairs or installations that require external expertise.
Assist in developing and implementing a preventive maintenance program to optimize equipment performance and extend its lifespan.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, and coordinate with procurement for timely restocking.
Liaise with other departments using the required procedure in a timely manner to ensure seamless workflow.
Any other duties assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
HND / B.Sc Degre in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in the building construction company.
Skills:
Proficient in diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of equipment and maintenance issues.
Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as maintenance equipment and materials.
Physical fitness to move around sites, the ability to perform manual tasks, and lift heavy objects.
Proficiency in using computer systems for maintenance record.
