Overview

We seek an exceptional, highly capable female professional to work directly with the Principal to advance strategic priorities, develop high-level proposals, cultivate local and international partnerships, and drive priority initiatives from conception to completion.

This is a high-trust, results-driven role requiring intellectual rigour, exceptional writing, independent judgement, professional maturity, and the ability to translate ideas into tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Execution: Translate priorities and ideas into actionable initiatives; identify opportunities, develop practical recommendations, take ownership of assignments, and drive execution with minimal supervision.

Research & Technical Writing: Produce compelling proposals, concept notes, analytical reports, strategic briefs, presentations, and correspondence to a high professional standard. Conduct targeted research and translate complex information into clear, evidence-based recommendations.

Local & International Engagement: Identify and engage relevant institutions, organisations, senior professionals, and prospective partners. Coordinate correspondence, cultivate professional relationships, support collaboration, and ensure engagements generate meaningful outcomes and follow-through.

Executive Briefing & Representation: Prepare the Principal for high-level meetings through research, stakeholder profiles, briefing notes, talking points, and presentations. Participate in meetings as required, communicate confidently, document decisions, and coordinate agreed actions.

Initiative & Problem-Solving: Anticipate needs, identify challenges, propose solutions, exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities, and move assignments forward without constant direction.

Reporting & Accountability: Track deliverables, monitor deadlines, maintain accurate records, prepare decision-oriented reports, and provide concise updates on progress, risks, and recommended next steps.

Travel & Engagement Logistics: Coordinate domestic and international travel, itineraries, schedules, meetings, and supporting materials as required.

Performance Expectations

Success will be measured by the quality of written outputs, strength of stakeholder engagement, initiative demonstrated, soundness of recommendations, timely execution of assignments, effectiveness of follow-through, and consistent professionalism and discretion.

Profile & Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Law, Political Science, Economics, Communications, Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline

Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional experience; demonstrated competence in proposal development, analytical writing, stakeholder engagement, and coordinating complex assignments

Excellent English communication skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and digital collaboration tools.

A postgraduate qualification or experience with international organisations, development partners, public institutions, or cross-border partnerships will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate is articulate, analytically strong, proactive, resourceful, highly organised, and capable of engaging credibly with senior local and international stakeholders.

She must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication, executive presence, emotional intelligence, attention to detail, resilience under pressure, and a strong sense of ownership. She should present solutions rather than merely identify problems and consistently deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
