Job Objective

To support the Head of Department in the examination operations of the Department, to provide academic excellence and exemplary customer service by ensuring proper and professional engagement of students, guardians, parents, and other stakeholders

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate the timely submission of examination drafts by lecturers.
  • Ensure examination drafts undergo internal and external moderation and that all recommended corrections are implemented.
  • Oversee the setting, proofreading, and finalization of examination papers.
  • Coordinate the secure printing and distribution of examination papers.
  • Prepare the departmental examination and invigilation schedules.
  • Oversee the conduct of examinations in compliance with institutional regulations.
  • Coordinate the collection of completed examination booklets for marking.
  • Ensure coursework is issued, assessed, marked, and submitted within the required timelines.
  • Coordinate post-examination moderation of marked scripts and results.
  • Compile and present examination results to the Departmental and Faculty Examination Boards for approval.
  • Maintain accurate examination records and ensure compliance with institutional examination policies and quality assurance standards.

Qualification and experience

  • A bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related area from an accredited university.
  • At least three years working experience in a similar role at a Private University.
  • Demonstrate potential for leadership.
  • Capable of working independently and committed to working collaboratively with a range of colleagues from across the university.
