Epc - Maintenance Manager (expats) At Unocasa Limited

Job Summary

• The Manager, Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure across client's engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) operations, with a specific focus on Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) assets and associated support equipment.
• This role ensures that all assets meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards while minimizing downtime and optimizing lifecycle costs.

Asset Summary

The incumbent will have extensive experience leading preventive and corrective maintenance on the following classes of equipment, among others:

• HDD rigs:
• American Auger DD1100
• American Auger DD625
• American Auger DD580
• Goodeng.
• Mud cleaning & recycling systems (American Auger, Herrenknecht)
• Pumps (charge pumps, submersible pumps, and trash pumps)
• Dry plant equipment (crawler cranes, excavators)
• Piling equipment (vibro hammers)
• Power generators.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive maintenance experience within EPC, oil & gas or heavy construction, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience maintaining HDD rigs, particularly 100-ton, 300-ton and 500-ton class rigs, and associated equipment such as mud pumps, recycling systems, cranes, excavators and downhole tools.
• Proven experience with preventive/predictive maintenance, CMMS implementation, RCM and RCA.
• Experience with SAP PM, Maximo or similar CMMS / EAM platforms is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 55001, QHSSE, OSHA and local safety requirements.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing maintenance budgets.
• Willingness to work from the Warri base yard and travel to project sites as required.

Required Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of CMMS, RCM, RCA and asset lifecycle management.
• Strong expertise in heavy machinery and industrial equipment maintenance within EPC environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of HDD rigs, hydraulic systems, engines, rotary drives and high-pressure mud systems.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong experience in maintenance budgeting, spare parts planning, vendor / OEM management and inventory control.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
