Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English & Mathematics Teacher to provide engaging and effective learning support to primary school pupils. The ideal candidate should be able to simplify concepts, build pupils' confidence, and create an enjoyable learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored standard-compliant lessons in English Language (Phonics, Reading, Comprehension, Grammar, and Creative Writing) and Mathematics (Numeracy, Problem Solving, and Logic).
• Design custom learning plans adapted to each child's learning pace, strengths, and areas needing improvement.
• Prepare simple, age-appropriate lesson plans and learning materials.
• Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs.
• Give classwork, assignments, tests, and assessments as appropriate.
• Monitor pupils' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support pupils who require additional attention or learning support.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate relevant academic observations and progress to parents/school management where required.
• Encourage good study habits, discipline, participation, and confidence among pupils.

Requirements

• Education: NCE, B.Ed., or a Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 - 3 years of proven experience teaching or tutoring children in Primary 1 through Primary 6.
• Subject Competency: Strong command of primary-level English grammar, phonics, and foundational Mathematics.
• Proximity & Availability: Must live within or have easy access to the Lekki/Ikoyi corridor and be available to work from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on designated days (including occasional weekends).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, strong communication skills, punctuality, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.

Compensation & Schedule

• 15,000 per day
• 3 - 4 working days per week
