Job Title: Energy Utility Manager
Location: Lagos
Role Description
The Energy Utility Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for overseeing the efficient and cost-effective use of utilities across multiple facilities.
This role involves monitoring energy and water consumption, managing utility systems and equipment, and ensuring optimal performance of power, HVAC, and wastewater treatment installations.
The Energy Utility Manager will prepare and manage utility budgets, track usage trends, and compile regular performance reports for leadership.
The role also includes coordinating with facility management teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance, implement efficiency initiatives, and support sustainability goals.
he individual will work closely with operations and finance to identify savings opportunities, mitigate risks, and support smooth day-to-day facility operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Facility Management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of utilities management, including power, water, and related infrastructure.
Proficiency in analytical skills for tracking consumption data, identifying trends, and generating actionable reports.
Experience in facility management (FM), with a focus on coordinating maintenance and operations across multiple sites.
Demonstrated budgeting skills for planning, controlling, and optimizing utility-related costs.
Understanding of wastewater treatment processes and compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
Experience in hospitality, retail, or multi-site operations is an advantage.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
