Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, check, and coordinate electrical design deliverables for industrial and manufacturing facility projects
  • Use Aveva E3D for electrical 3D design, model coordination, elevation cuts, design reviews, and drawing extraction
  • Prepare 2D electrical drawings in AutoCAD using E3D model extracts, engineering input, field information, and project standards

Required Qualifications

Maintain accurate shift logs, inspection records, oil consumption records, and operational checklists. Provide effective shift handovers, highlighting equipment condition, process status, and outstanding issues. Escalate any abnormal conditions that may impact safety, quality, equipment reliability, or production performance. Safety, Environment & Housekeeping Operate equipment in accordance with approved SOPs, risk assessments, and plant safety requirements. Correctly use required PPE and comply with LOTO, permit-to-work, and other plant safe-work procedures. Prevent, identify, and promptly respond to oil spills, leaks, and environmental hazards in accordance with emergency and environmental procedures. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure safe access around tanks, pumps, pipelines, and associated equipment. Participate in toolbox talks, safety inspections, emergency drills, incident reporting, and continuous improvement activities. Promote safe work practices and immediately report unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and near-miss incidents. Requirements Minimum Requirements KCSE Certificate. Government Trade Test Grade II General Fitting or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 3 years’ experience operating industrial process or production equipment in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Minimum 1 year’s experience operating oil circulation, filtration, cooling, lubrication, hydraulic, or similar industrial fluid-handling systems. Added Advantage Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Training in chemical handling, spill response, fire safety, emergency response, and first aid. Knowledge of 6S, TPM, and Autonomous Maintenance. Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems. Experience in a Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) or similar continuous-process plant. Technical Competencies Knowledge of rolling-oil circulation, filtration, cooling, and storage systems.
