Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Educational Technology Specialist to enhance our digital learning environment.
• The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between IT and academic instruction, ensuring the seamless integration of technology into the teaching and learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, administer, and optimize the University's Learning Management System (Moodle).
• Oversee the setup and support of virtual classroom environments.
• Manage and maintain the Student Information Management System (SIMS) to ensure accurate academic data.
• Train faculty and staff on the effective use of instructional technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend new instruction-related technologies to improve pedagogical outcomes.
• Provide ongoing technical support to faculty and students on all instruction-related platforms.
• Serve as a member of the ICT helpdesk team, responding to and resolving user support requests.
• Conduct general maintenance and support of computing facilities (hardware, software, peripherals, and network-related issues) across the University.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: BSc or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Extensive experience working within aHigher Education Institution is mandatory.
• Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in managingMoodle LMS, virtual classroom platforms (e.g., Class, Zoom Education, Teams for Education, Collaborate Ultra, Kaltura Virtual Classroom, Adobe Connect, LearnCube), andSIMS.
• Competencies: Strong understanding of instructional design principles and current educational technologies.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving abilities.
• Additional: Demonstrated ability to provide hands-on technical support and maintenance for general computing facilities.
