About The Client

  • Our client is seeking an experienced IVF Doctor (Gynaecologist) to provide high-quality fertility and reproductive healthcare services to patients undergoing Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
  • The role involves patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, monitoring of IVF cycles, performing ART procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring clinical excellence, and contributing to research, service development, and continuous quality improvement.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to uphold high standards of clinical excellence, patient-centred care, innovation, and ethical medical practice.

Responsibilities

Clinical Assessment & Fertility Management:

  • Conduct comprehensive fertility consultations, assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for couples and individuals experiencing infertility.
  • Review patients' medical history, laboratory investigations, hormonal profiles, semen analyses, ultrasound scans, and diagnostic imaging.
  • Develop individualized fertility treatment plans based on evidence-based reproductive medicine practices.
  • Monitor patients throughout the fertility treatment journey and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
  • Provide second opinions and manage complex infertility cases in collaboration with senior consultants.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
  • Ensure continuity of care through regular follow-up consultations and treatment reviews.

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Procedures:

  • Perform ovarian stimulation monitoring through transvaginal folliculometry.
  • Determine appropriate trigger timing for oocyte maturation.
  • Perform oocyte retrieval procedures according to established protocols.
  • Perform embryo transfer procedures using best clinical practices.
  • Carry out intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures.
  • Perform minor fertility procedures including sonohysterography, endometrial scratching, mock embryo transfers, and endometrial biopsy where indicated.
  • Assist in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures related to infertility management.

Patient Care, Counselling & Pregnancy Management:

  • Provide comprehensive fertility counselling and educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, risks, expected outcomes, and recovery.
  • Conduct enquiry consultations for prospective fertility patients.
  • Review failed IVF cycles and participate in failed cycle review meetings.
  • Conduct pre-treatment, post-treatment, and post-operative reviews.
  • Perform early pregnancy monitoring and first-trimester obstetric ultrasound scans.
  • Prepare medical reports, referral letters, and antenatal referrals when required.
  • Promote compassionate, patient-centred care while ensuring patient dignity, confidentiality, and informed consent.

Clinical Quality, Safety & Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with the organisation's clinical protocols, SOPs, and ART guidelines.
  • Participate actively in clinical audits, morbidity meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Report clinical incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and risk management standards.
  • Ensure compliance with MDCN, HEFAMAA, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Uphold ethical medical practice and patient confidentiality at all times.

Collaboration, Leadership & Professional Development:

  • Work closely with embryologists, nurses, sonographers, anaesthetists, counsellors, and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide mentorship and clinical support to Medical Officers, junior doctors, interns, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, multidisciplinary case reviews, and clinical conferences.
  • Support staff orientation, training, and continuous medical education programmes.
  • Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuous professional development and specialist training.
  • Contribute to succession planning and development of future fertility specialists.

Research, Innovation & Service Development:

  • Participate in fertility research, clinical studies, and outcome reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and review of clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
  • Support innovation and implementation of new reproductive technologies and treatment techniques.
  • Participate in patient education seminars, fertility awareness programmes, and community outreach activities.
  • Publish or share approved educational articles, opinions, and fertility awareness content through approved digital and social media platforms.
  • Support service expansion initiatives and contribute to the organisation's strategic objectives.

Reporting Relationships

  • Functionally reports to: Medical Doctor.
  • Administratively reports to: Managing Director.
  • Supervises: Nurses and Clinical Staff.
