Job Role

• The Dispatch Support Assistant is responsible for supporting the preparation, handling, verification, and dispatch of finished products and other materials to customers, transporters, or designated destinations. The role supports accurate and timely dispatch operations.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Support efficient dispatch operations.
• Ensure products are correctly prepared for dispatch.
• Assist with verification and documentation.
• Support timely loading and movement of dispatched goods.
• Minimize dispatch errors and product damage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispatch Preparation

• Assist in preparing finished products for dispatch.
• Check products against dispatch instructions.
• Assist with sorting and organizing goods according to destination.
• Ensure goods are ready for loading.

Loading & Documentation Support

• Support loading of dispatched products.
• Assist in checking quantities and product condition.
• Support preparation and handling of dispatch documents.
• Report discrepancies to the supervisor.

Coordination

• Work with warehouse, loading, transport, and sales teams.
• Support communication regarding dispatch schedules.
• Assist in ensuring vehicles are loaded according to instructions.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE.
• Maintain clean and organized dispatch areas.
• Report hazards and damaged products.

Qualification

• Minimum KCSE qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in dispatch, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing is an added advantage.
• Basic documentation and record-keeping ability.
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.
