Director Of Investment — Energy Desk

Brendan Nicholas Holdings is a permanent-capital institution that builds and holds companies for the long term across Africa. We are appointing a Director of Investment to lead our Energy Desk.

This is a senior institutional role, not a transaction role. You will not negotiate contracts or close deals — the subsidiary executives you appoint will do that. You will assess opportunity, assemble boards and executive teams, structure governance, originate new companies, and be accountable for everything the desk builds.

You will have:

• Carried an asset or company from origination to operation, with responsibility for the outcome
• Held decision authority over capital
• Appointed and removed senior executives
• Operated within a governance structure that constrained you
• Sector relationships held personally and verifiable

You will be able to:

• Tell us what you have declined and why
• Write — the institution runs on documents
• Take correction without defending
