- The Director, Business Development & Partnerships will lead business development, market expansion, product/service commercialization, and strategic partnership development across Intersect Consortium and its portfolio of businesses.
- The primary objective of the role is to move Intersect Consortium and its individual businesses from their current commercial position to the next stage of sustainable growth.
- The Director will be expected to identify commercial opportunities that may already exist within the Consortium but are currently underdeveloped, under-marketed, under-packaged,or under-commercialized.

Key Responsibilities
Consortium-Wide Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement a Consortium-wide business development strategy.
- Establish annual and quarterly business development targets.
- Translate the Consortium's overall business strategy into measurable commercial initiatives.
- Develop growth plans for individual entities and business units.
- Identify priority markets, sectors, customer segments, and geographic opportunities.
- Establish business development standards and processes across the Consortium.
- Develop a common pipeline-management framework.
- Establish reporting structures for business development performance.
- Coordinate business-development activities across entities to avoid duplication and identify opportunities for cross-selling.
- Regularly review the commercial performance of each business unit and recommend corrective actions.
Business Growth Diagnostics:
- The Director will act as an internal growth consultant to the Consortium and its businesses.
- Assessing the current commercial position of each business.
- Reviewing existing products and services.
- Identifying underutilized capabilities.
- Identifying services with low awareness or weak market penetration.
- Assessing pricing and packaging.

- A major responsibility of this role will be turning existing expertise and capabilities into sellable products and services.

- The Director will develop and execute strategies for accessing relevant government markets.
- Identify relevant Federal, State and Local Government opportunities.
- Map ministries, departments, agencies and government institutions relevant to Consortium services.
- Identify decision-makers, influencers and procurement stakeholders.
- Develop government-sector value propositions.
- Identify relevant tenders, programmes, contracts and partnership opportunities.
- Develop institutional engagement strategies.
- Build relationships with relevant government stakeholders.
- Coordinate preparation for bids, proposals and presentations.
- Establish a structured government-sector pipeline.
- Monitor government procurement and programme opportunities.
- Ensure appropriate ethical, legal and procurement standards are maintained.
Private-Sector Business Development:
- Develop and lead strategies for penetration of the private sector.
- Develop corporate account strategies.
