Reporting Line: Directly to the Lead Partner of the practice
The Digital Communications & Knowledge Assistant will support the development, management and continuous improvement of Adroit Advisors' digital presence. The role combines website management, digital communications, research, content development and AI-enabled productivity.
The successful candidate will work directly with the Lead Partner, translating professional insights and business developments into effective digital communication while ensuring that the firm's website and other digital platforms are properly maintained.
This is not an entry-level training position. Applicants must already possess relevant practical experience and demonstrate the essential capabilities required to perform the role independently.
The ability to work with minimal supervision, exercise initiative, solve routine problems independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks will be a significant advantage.
Website and Content Management
- Manage routine website updates using a content management system (CMS).
- Upload, format, publish and maintain articles, images and other website content.
- Check published pages for accuracy, presentation, broken links and missing information.
- Identify website issues, coordinate with technical support where necessary, and follow through until resolution.
- Maintain the accuracy, consistency and professional presentation of the firm's website.
- Ensure that website content remains current, accessible and aligned with the firm's professional standards.
Digital Communications and Content Development
- Develop and publish relevant content across LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and other appropriate digital platforms.
- Translate professional insights, research findings and regulatory developments into clear articles, posts and other digital materials.
- Maintain a consistent professional voice and ensure that published content reflects the firm's standards.
- Support the development of presentations, infographics and other communication materials where required.
- Monitor digital visibility and identify opportunities to improve the firm's online presence.
- Maintain an organised content calendar and follow through on scheduled publication activities.
Research and Knowledge Support
- Research developments in accounting, audit, taxation, regulation, business and related professional fields.
- Verify information, identify credible sources and organise findings for internal use or publication.
- Understand the central message in professional material before translating it into accessible content.
- Ask relevant questions where clarification is required and distinguish verified information from assumptions.
- Maintain organised records of research, content and published materials.
- Support the conversion of the firm's professional knowledge into reusable content and knowledge assets.
AI and Digital Productivity
- Use appropriate AI tools to support research, drafting, editing, content planning and routine digital work.
- Verify AI-generated information rather than relying on unverified outputs.
- Apply digital tools to improve the quality, efficiency and consistency of work.
- Identify practical opportunities to improve digital workflows and reduce repetitive tasks.
Execution, Initiative and Accountability
- Plan and execute assigned work with minimal supervision.
- Take ownership of tasks from initiation to completion.
- Identify problems early, investigate possible solutions and escalate issues that require professional or technical intervention.
- Meet deadlines and maintain accurate records of completed work.
- Communicate progress, challenges and results clearly to the Lead Partner.
- Exercise sound judgment when handling professional information and representing the firm publicly.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Relevant practical experience in digital communications, digital marketing, content development, website administration or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable website/CMS management experience. Applicants must have personally used a content management system to publish, update, format or maintain website content.
- The ability to identify the CMS used, explain the website tasks personally performed and provide evidence of previous work.
- Strong writing, editing, research and information-verification skills.
- The ability to produce clear, accurate and professional content for different audiences.
- Practical competence with digital tools and familiarity with AI-assisted productivity.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, initiative and the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Professional maturity, reliability and the willingness to take responsibility for the quality of one's work.
Social media management experience alone does not satisfy the website/CMS requirement. Candidates must demonstrate actual website-management experience; merely listing a CMS or other digital tools on a CV will not be sufficient.
Experience with WordPress or a comparable CMS, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn and content-design tools will be advantageous.
A background in accounting, audit, taxation, law, business or other professional services is helpful but not mandatory. The ability to research unfamiliar subjects, understand professional information and communicate it accurately is essential.
Work Arrangement and Location
This is a 100% onsite position at our Ikeja, Lagos office. It is not a remote or hybrid role.
Applicants must state their current residential location and demonstrate that they can reliably report to the Ikeja office throughout the working week.
Location, commuting practicality and the ability to sustain consistent physical attendance will form part of the selection decision.
Remuneration and Benefits
The position offers a monthly salary of 250,000 - 300,000, depending on the candidate's relevant experience, demonstrated competence and ability to take responsibility for the full scope of the role.
In addition to monthly remuneration, the employment package includes:
- Performance-based bonus, linked to performance and applicable assessment criteria.
- 13th-month remuneration.
- Other employment-related benefits and perquisites attached to the position.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Lead Partner of the practice and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the firm's digital communications and knowledge capabilities.
Adroit will provide orientation on its internal systems, professional subject matter and working methods. However, candidates must already possess the core digital, website-management, research and communication capabilities required for the job.
Applications should clearly demonstrate existing capabilities and relevant practical experience. Applications that do not establish the essential website/CMS and related experience requirements may not proceed to the next stage.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a practical assessment covering:
- Website/CMS management and content publishing.
- Professional writing and editing.
- Research and information verification.
- Digital judgment and the appropriate use of AI tools.
- Independent problem-solving and task execution.
Selection will be based on demonstrated competence, relevant experience, evidence of previous work and the ability to meet the operational requirements of the position.
Only candidates whose experience aligns with the operational requirements of the position will be shortlisted.
