- The Deputy General Manager, Administration is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the administrative functions of the organization.
- The role involves ensuring effective management of administrative services, facilities, logistics, employee welfare, office operations, and support services to facilitate smooth and efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Management:
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for all administrative activities and support services.
- Develop and implement administrative policies, procedures, and standards in line with organizational objectives.
Facilities and Office Management:
- Oversee the management and maintenance of office facilities, buildings, and other administrative infrastructure.
- Ensure a safe, functional, and conducive working environment for employees.
Transport and Logistics Management:
- Oversee staff transportation, fleet management, and other logistics-related activities.
- Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of company vehicles and other logistical resources.
Vendor and Service Provider Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective provision of administrative services.
Employee Welfare and Support Services:
- Coordinate employee welfare initiatives and administrative support services.
- Address employee administrative concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the Administration Department's budget.
- Monitor administrative expenditure and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and applicable administrative standards.
- Establish appropriate controls to minimize administrative and operational risks.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Administration team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, Security, Procurement, and other departments to support business operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Management, or a related field with a minimum of 27 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- OR an MBA with a minimum of 24 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a senior administrative or management position, preferably within a large organization or industrial environment.
- Extensive experience in facilities management, logistics, fleet management, vendor management, employee welfare, and general administrative operations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership and effectively manage administrative functions and support services.
- Experience in managing budgets, service providers, contracts, and administrative resources.
- Strong knowledge of administrative policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and best practices.
