Requirements :
A three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management/ Accounting/ Auditing/ Internal Auditing/ Cost Management/ Cost Accounting.
3 - 5 years' experience of which 3 must be at supervisory/ junior management level in local government finance, preferably monitoring or implementing Municipal Budgets/ Revenue Management.
Duties :
To promote effective revenue management in the municipal sphere of government and ensure compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act. Manage the monitoring of the municipal revenue management processes in municipalities and municipal entities to ensure compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act, the MFMA Regulations and other related Legislations.
Manage monitoring of compliance with compliance with the Municipal Finance Management Act and related Legislations by local authorities related to Municipal Revenue Management.
Provide relevant and bespoke support to municipalities pertaining to municipal revenue management and related processes. Manage effective and strategic intergovernmental relations (internally and externally). Includes participation in intergovernmental meetings, workshops, collaboration sessions, especially with the National Treasury. Manage resources.
