Role Purpose

  • This role coordinates the secure, compliant, and effective delivery of exams and related operations within a country or location. It ensures all test-day and post-test activities, including venue coordination, equipment readiness, materials handling, and staff management, meet global quality, security, and compliance standards. The role also oversees the selection, contracting, and coordination of venues and equipment, ensuring all delivery resources are available, cost-effective, and compliant with British Council and awarding body requirements.

Main Accountabilities

  • This role coordinates all test-day and post-test operations, ensuring delivery complies with global SOPs, security, quality, and regulatory standards. It oversees venue and supplier sourcing, contracting, and performance management; ensures the readiness of equipment, materials, and delivery resources; manages the secure handling of confidential materials; conducts operational readiness checks, venue audits, and risk assessments; supports staff rostering; serves as the primary operational contact for venues and delivery partners; and manages incident response and issue escalation.
  • The role also ensures operational compliance through audits, investigations, and accurate documentation, working closely with governance and compliance teams. It coordinates communications with candidates, partners, and internal stakeholders, addresses customer feedback and service issues, oversees venue and supplier costs and payments, ensures efficient use of resources, and supports the management, training, and development of delivery staff while promoting accountability, security, and continuous improvement.

Essential

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience coordinating secure, regulated service delivery (e.g. exams, logistics, events).
  • Proven ability to manage venues, equipment, and logistics to strict security and quality standards.
  • Experience supervising staff or contractors.
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required

Desirable

  • Experience working with awarding bodies or educational assessment services.
  • Good understanding of compliance, confidentiality, and audit requirements
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification
