Role Purpose:
The Data Scientist will design and implement data-driven models and analytics solutions to improve credit risk assessment, customer insights, fraud detection, and product innovation. This role is central to strengthening the company’s competitive edge in Ghana’s growing financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk & Predictive Modelling
Build machine learning models to assess borrower risk and predict loan defaults.
Develop scoring algorithms tailored to Ghana’s credit market.
Data Analysis & Insights
Collect, clean, and analyse structured and unstructured financial data.
Provide actionable insights to improve lending decisions and customer targeting.
Fraud Detection & Compliance
Implement anomaly detection systems to flag suspicious transactions.
Ensure compliance with Bank of Ghana regulations and data privacy standards.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Create dashboards and visualisation tools for management.
Present findings to executives and stakeholders in clear, actionable formats.
Collaboration & Innovation
Work closely with IT, product, and finance teams to integrate analytics into operations.
