KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Transfer data from paper documents into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners.
Enter data provided directly by customers and other relevant sources.
Create and maintain spreadsheets containing large volumes of information accurately.
Verify entered data against source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Update existing records accurately and in a timely manner.
Retrieve information from databases or electronic files as required.
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
Sort, organise and safely maintain paperwork after data entry to prevent loss and facilitate easy retrieval.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCES

Fast and accurate typing skills.
Excellent knowledge of word-processing tools and spreadsheets, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices.
Basic understanding of databases.
Good command of English, both written and spoken, together with good customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
A high level of personal and professional integrity.
