We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Specialist to join a leading Microsoft-focused consulting team delivering modern data platforms, analytics and AI solutions across South Africa, the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa and the UAE. As a Microsoft Solutions Partner and member of the Microsoft Business Applications Inner Circle - representing the top 1% of Microsoft partners globally - we work with a diverse range of clients across retail, financial services, healthcare, logistics, legal, agriculture and the public sector. Our Data practice delivers everything from enterprise data platform builds and migrations to data governance, strategic advisory and AI use-case implementation. You'll work on challenging projects, collaborate with talented specialists and help clients unlock the full potential of their data. What we're looking for We're interested in people who bring depth in their specialist area, curiosity about the wider data landscape and the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders. Strong Microsoft data platform expertise: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, the Azure Data Platform and Power BI. Experience with Databricks and Snowflake is an advantage, particularly in multi-platform environments. Technical depth: Strong capability in your area of expertise, with the ability to engage credibly across data engineering, architecture, analytics and governance. Client-facing consulting experience: Comfortable running workshops, presenting solutions, translating business requirements into technical outcomes and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Practical delivery and estimation: Able to develop realistic estimates, manage delivery expectations and raise potential risks early. A governance-first mindset: You understand the importance of data access, sensitivity, lineage and ownership, and build these considerations into solutions from the outset. A commitment to continuous learning: Relevant Microsoft certifications are valued. If you're still working towards them, we'll support your development and invest in your certification journey.
