Danish Refugee Council Project Coordinator Jobs in Uganda;The Project Coordinator will oversee and lead implementation of a Coca Cola Foundationfunded project aimed at enhancing circularity in the plastic value chain, integrating marginalized waste collectors into formal systems, and creating safer, decent jobs. Responsibilities

Coordinate with Kenya team and manage fieldlevel activities in Uganda

Oversee implementation against contractual objectives, targets, and budgets

Ensure collaborative relationships with implementing partner Ecoplastile

Facilitate collaboration with government, INGOs, private sector, and community leaders

Represent DRC publicly at settlement and national levelsImplementation & Technical Support

Organize implementation of project targets with Ecoplastile and Kenya team

Supervise Uganda project team and maintain updated implementation plans

Ensure compliance with economic recovery and protection principles

Provide technical assistance during training, recycling, and entrepreneurship sessions

Deliver timely, highquality reports and contributions to MEAL requirements

Identify delivery risks and implement corrective action plans

Contribute to strategic direction and programme developmentMonitoring, Reporting & Documentation

Work with MEAL officer to monitor implementation against plans

Maintain communication with private sector actors and review partner reports

Ensure donor reports are prepared and submitted on time

Capture and disseminate lessons learned for knowledge sharing and advocacyBudget Management

Monitor project expenditure against budget and mitigate risks of variances

Liaise with Finance, Supply Chain, and HR for monthly program meetings

Ensure quality deliverables and compliance with (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});donor rules and guidelinesQualificationsEducation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, or related field (required)

Master’s degree in related field (preferred)Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience leading social and economic inclusion/livelihood programming

At least 3 years’ experience in refugee contexts

Demonstrated experience integrating market and livelihoods assessments into strategies

Experience incorporating gender aspects into program design and implementation

Understanding of circular economy, climate adaptation, and mitigation measures

Knowledge of Uganda’s social, political, and economic context

Experience with VSLAs or similar savings groups

Proven capacitybuilding experience with staff and stakeholders

Strong project management, donor reporting, and proposal writing skillsSkills & Competencies

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills

Ability to manage competing deadlines and work across diverse teams

Strong innovation and problemsolving in complex humanitarian environments

Familiarity with humanitarian coordination mechanisms and international standards
